Peaceful Protesting
To fight for equality and to be seen as equal among everyone in your country is not easy. To do that without violence is even harder. The people of the world remember the legacy of Nelson Mandela the most on his birthday July 18th which in Africa is a holiday known as Mandela Day. From his early 20s it has always been his goal to stop violence and injustice. After 27 years in prison Mandela continued to have compassion and love in his heart. As his general says, "Human rights and equality are stronger than discrimination and hate." Nelson Mandela will always be branded selfless. He put his life and his family at risk to better the lives of many people. When people hear the name Nelson Mandela they automatically think leader or hero or world changer. People admire him for his peaceful protesting and not once stopping or whining because of fear. He has been the inspiration for many leaders after him such as Martin Luther King Jr. and other bus boycotts. All of these people practiced civil disobedience just like him.
